Job Summary:The Civil Construction Learning Director is responsible for developing andexecuting the training and education strategy for the Civil ConstructionDivision globally. The charter for this position is to ensure that ourcustomers, channel, and internal teams are equipped with the necessarystructure and resources to ensure that our customers are capturing maximumvalue from Trimble solutions. This means taking ownership for getting theknowledge, education, and tools into the hands of this critical globalnetwork of users, sales and business professionals that allow them to excelat their jobs and create exceptional customer experiences.Duties and Responsibilities:Design, deliver, implement, and monitor a comprehensive learningcurriculum for Civil Construction Solutions including e-learning,instructor-led training, and informal learning channels on Trimble'slearning platform.Understand users' workflows and continuously identify and adjust to thelearning needs within the Civil Construction business, at dealerorganizations, and at customer job sites.Ensure that role-appropriate learning opportunities for sales, technicalsupport, GM's, and other critical distribution resources are defined,prioritized, and implemented.Build and execute a core training program for new internal and distributionpartner resources that is taken within the first 90 days of hire to create astrong foundational onboarding experience.Create certification programs that ensure Trimble salespeople, the dealernetwork, and end users are skilled and adept at demonstrating andexperiencing the full power of our field solutions.Develop and/or acquire innovative training programs that include buildingtechnical, product, solutions, influence, 3rd-party relationship,and business proficiencies.Research, assess, select, oversee, and build relationships withexternal learning vendors and development resources as appropriate.Own the implementation of standards for all content contributors to adhere toand take responsibility and accountability for content relevance and quality.Create a train-the-trainer program to leverage and scale training across thechannel.Implement annual training calendar and logistical coordination for alllearning offerings.Measure effectiveness of training initiatives and utilization in the fieldthrough distributor evaluations; ride-a longs; etc.Keep abreast of industry trends, both within our businesses and within thelearning field.Fully utilize Trimble's Learning Management System in the delivery andtracking of learning solutions.Effectively partner with and leverage other Learning Organizations acrossTrimble to create full curriculum effectiveness.Perform other duties as required.Experience, Education and Skills:Strong business acumen; organizational savvy; global matrixed companyexperience; and the ability to collaborate and partner with a variety ofconstituencies (SME's, Product Managers; etc.) to deliver effectiveresults. Ability to influence without authority.A passion for supporting channel partner and end customer organizations withimpactful learning experiences, and strong understanding of channel,distribution and sales methodologies and practices.Proven ability to learn and train others on software or hardware technologies.Demonstrated knowledge of adult learning training principles, instructionaldesign, and curriculum development methodologies.Experience in carrying out all activities in the training cycle: Design,Delivery, Evaluation.Experience with content development, video recording, and editing tools,such as Articulate, Camtasia, etc. Experience utilizing e-learning platforms.Expert facilitator who possesses strong presence (whether online or inperson); displays high levels of energy and intentionality; keenlistening skills; can connect with an audience; and effectively translatescomplex material into logical learning steps.Strong project/program management and organizational skills; demonstratedability to balance strategic intent
