An In-Room Dining Server is responsible for ensuring that all Resort guests have the highest quality food and beverage dining experience possible while assisting in the creation of a profitable department that is environmentally responsible. Follows the brand standards from the beginning of the service cycle through the entire delivery process. Exhibits strong menu and beverage knowledge, is professional and gracious able to smile through the phone and give guests a superior experience when deciding to dine in the comfort of their rooms.

Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Exhibits strong menu, beverage and wine knowledge and makes recommendations to guests on various offerings.

  • Exhibits strong knowledge of the hotel and local area to give guests an exceptional hotel experience.

  • Ensures that the guest experience is pleasant in regard to over the phone ordering, food delivery and quality of food and beverage products by adhering to the RockResort and Marriott brand standards.

  • Consistently adheres to the uniform standards and always looks clean, neat and professional.

  • Handles all opening and/or closing duties required to properly operate In-Room Dining, ensuring everything is stocked for the next shifts and the hotel is free of dishes in hallways.

Qualifications:

  • Must be able to read, write, speak, understand and comprehend English fluently. -required

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience. -required

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in guest service. -required

  • 1 year front of the house food & beverage experience. -required

  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in written form to guests, managers and employees. -required

  • Must be TIPS certified or able to become TIPS certified within 30 days of hire. -required

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. -required

  • Must be able to stand and walk up to 8 hours at a time. -required

  • Must be able to work weekends, mornings, holidays and evenings. -required

  • Must provide 2 satisfactory references. -required

  • Ability to speak Spanish. -preferred

  • Knowledge of wine is helpful. -preferred

  • In-person interviews. - preferred
