Detailed job description, including responsibilities, work performed, tools or equipment used, etc.:• Share the Steamboat Dream• Provide exceptional guest service by anticipating and exceeding guest expectations in the friendliest and most helpful manner possible• Assist guests in a courteous and professional manner in all areas of the base area, on the mountain and all areas of the resort• Open/close Lost & Found department• Document guest and employee misplaced, lost and stolen personal items and equipment in online computer database• Answer Lost & Found phones and emails and promptly respond to messages• Document found items in online computer database• Match reported lost items and found items with rightful owners• Return lost items in-person and through mail carriers• Properly dispose of found items through recycling, donation and destruction after retention period expires• Assist Ski Patrol with storing and returning guest ski/ride equipment• Administer guest intercept surveys• Disseminate mountain condition information and other important information to the public and other departments• Take customer comments • Meet and greet guests throughout the day • Provide up to date product information to our guests• Adequate computer skills with ability to learn RTP sales system
Minimum skills, experience, education and ability required for this job:• Ideal candidate must be humble, driven to help others and empathetic• Strong organizational skills and ability to work in a fast-paced and chaotic environment required• Previous experience with SSRC required or comparable Steamboat community experience• Interact and maintain positive relationships with guests, co-workers and management consistent with Steamboat Ski and Resort Company’s Service Excellence standards• Strong communication skills and customer service experience required• A cheerful, friendly, outgoing and enthusiastic attitude• Work in a team environment• Local knowledge and familiarity with Steamboat its history and surroundings• Adhere to all safety policies
Physical Requirements:• Excellent written and verbal communication in English• Willingness to work outside in all winter weather conditions• Lift and carry minimum 30 lbs. • Must be at least 18 years of age
Miscellaneous information:• This is an hourly paid position subject to overtime pay• Position requires working weekends and holidays as needed• Shifts for this position are Fridays and Saturdays with the possibility of working additional hours as a Guest service Representative/Ambassador• Pursuant to county and/or state orders and company policies, every employee is required to self-monitor for COVID-19 symptoms, practice social distancing, wash hands frequently, wear a mask per current guidelines, self-report and call in immediately and stay home if sick and assist with sanitizing and disinfecting work areas. Employees must follow all resort mitigation plans and protocols, which can be found posted on resort buildings and on Beekeeper
