Description of Duties:
The Quality Assurance Technician supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. The candidate will:
Performing process audits for compliance with AS9100D.
Perform audits involving IT services such as: change requests throughout hardware installation, computer rack configuration, cabling, change/configuration management, and the change life cycle.
Develop processes and procedures to ensure that quality standards are engineered into the project life cycle.
Work with project managers, system engineers and technical personnel to ensure that standards are built into projects from the beginning.
Review project progress continuously to identify and correct issues as they arise.
Spot check capabilities that have completed implementation to ensure that standards are being maintained during the sustainment period.
Duties will include physical activity such as climbing ladders, crawling under raised floors, tracing cables, having deep interpersonal skills and a professional demeanor while interacting with a wide variety of people.
Possess ability to work independently with little oversight or supervision and as a team member.
Receive direction, guidance, monitoring, and control of this function from the QA Lead and other managers within the IRES contract.
Perform other duties as assigned.
The successful candidate will:
Be organized and able to multitask multiple assignments as you will need to stay on top of several components of the job simultaneously, and switch from one task to another throughout the day.
Understand that accuracy is most important in your role to help ensure correctness and support expedited follow on tasks.
Have excellent verbal & written communication and presentation skills.
Be able to operate and multitask in a challenging and dynamic environment while demonstrating planning, coordination and organizational and problem-solving skills.
Understanding of system engineering concepts and procedures, including how requirements are defined and how to trace the requirements through implementation and closeout.
This position will be filled at Schriever AFB, Colorado Springs, CO.
This position is expected to pay $67,800 - $108,450 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.

Here’s What You’ll Need:
Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience: HS Diploma (or GED) and 2 years of general experience; Associate's degree, or higher, and 0 years of general experience.
Must have at least 2.5 years of directly related experience in Quality Assurance to include project and process auditing
Must have an understanding of project management lifecycle and risk management
Must be able to balance and occasionally work from ladders, scaffolding and elevated surfaces, and below raised floors, climbing stairs, walking, squatting, kneeling, stooping, crouching, or crawling
Must have experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project)
Must be able to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
Must have, or obtain, an active DoD Secret Security Clearance
Have QA certifications
Have a related degree
Have experience with ITIL Process
Have an ITIL Intermediate Certification for Service Transition, QA Auditing, Engineering, System Lifecycle Methodologies
Have experience with Root Cause Analysis, or Failure Mode Effect Analysis
Have a working knowledge of ISO 9001, AS 9100 with practical application experience
Have knowledge of Missile Defense, Software Engineering, Engineering Services, DoD communications systems, or process improvement initiatives
Be able to interpret cable test information to ensure the cables pass tests well within the established thresholds set for its intended mission
