  • Duration:6 month contract with possible extension

  • Location:Remote

  • Job Title:Business Analyst

  • Pay Range: $40 – $45/hr.

The Business Analyst is responsible for understanding business process management and business requirements of their customers, and translating them into specific functional requirements. The Business Analyst works with stakeholders from all business units and related parties to elicit, define and document business processes and data requirements for technology initiatives.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Meet with key business stakeholders and project members to document business and functional requirements.

  • Work as a liaison among business and technical stakeholders to elicit, analyze, communicate and validate requirements for changes to business processes, policies, information and information systems.

  • Prepare business requirement documents, use cases, proof of concept models and supporting data transformation rules. Coordinate requirement review and signoffs with stakeholders to ensure that documentation accurately portrays business needs.

  • Work with Quality Assurance to ensure appropriate test plans are developed. Assist with testing efforts as required.

  • Assists with the evaluation of changes being proposed in current software systems.

  • Serve as a thought contributor and propose system enhancements or program changes to improve operational efficiencies.

  • Lead business analytics activities for small projects and function as a contributing team member for larger enterprise initiatives.

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent experience.

  • Minimum 6 years related experience.

  • IT experience required, and client analytics experience preferred.

  • Business analysis thought leader with comprehensive knowledge of requirements elicitation and management methodologies.

  • Strong leadership skills with experience in conflict resolution.

  • Comprehensive understanding of financial services policies, procedures, products and industry practices. • Excellent and demonstrated skills in meeting facilitation, relationship management, leadership, critical thinking, technical writing and presentation skills.

  • Knowledge of Hadoop, relational databases (Teradata, Oracle, SQL Server) and business intelligence tools (Cognos, Tableau, SAS).

  • Working knowledge of SDLC and PMLC.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Project and Visio.

  • Intermediate programming knowledge in Python or SAS is desired.

  • Business Requirements Gathering (10yr), SAS (8yr), Teradata/Oracle/SQL Server (5yr), Python (3+yr), Cloud Data Platforms (3yr), Hadoop (3yr)
