Tesla, Inc. Technical Trainer, Energy - Training And Quality Assurance in Parker, Colorado

The Technical Trainer will report to the Installation Quality Manager and beprimarily responsible for conducting instructor led trainings (ILT) forour Direct and Certified Installers so that our workforce is knowledgeable andadheres to the best practices in the company. This will be accomplishedthrough New Hire Onboarding, task qualifications programs, continuingeducation courses, as well as hands on training in the field.Additionally, the Technical Trainer will be responsible for creating andmaintaining training content and delivery methods in coordination withmanagers and subject matter experts to ensure best practice state-of-the arttraining on Tesla Energy products, installation methods, leadership, andcustomer engagement.The ideal candidate has significant experience leading an Energy Productinstallation crew and a demonstrated track record of high quality, efficientand safe installations. This person must be a charismatic motivator and aneffective communicator. They must also be patient with new trainees,organized, consistent, and creative. This trainer also needs to beself-motivated and driven to manage their time while having a remote reportingstructure.Responsibilities*Conduct Installer Training from start to finish*Complete administrative duties to track learner enrollments, attendance,and course completion*Overall responsibility for enhancing training content including:o Create and maintain content development for all regional Instructor LedTrainingso Update information and documentation for our Learner Management System(Bridge) and online library (Confluence.)o Delivery of material, using most appropriate methodo Manage and revise content based on feedback as necessary to adapt to productand process changeso Develop supporting pre-work and ongoing follow up training to emphasizelearnings across channels*Create content for weekly toolbox talks when quality issues arise*Responsible for finding exciting and creative ways to deliver traininginformation and material*Make independent decisions on which locations and crews require additionaltraining based on installation quality metrics*Stay abreast of process and policy changes that affect Tesla installationprocedures and field employees*Identify opportunities for operational improvements that increase fieldsafety, efficiency, and quality*Conduct weekly regional site visits to evaluate installer work product anduse findings to improve training content*Work closely with installation and operations managers to support trainingrequests*Provide onsite training, mentorship, and troubleshooting for crews in thefield*Work closely with the engineering teams to ensure robust feedback loopbetween field and design*Collaborate with the regional coordinator on schedules and travel logisticsfor trainees*Actively promote a culture of safety in accordance with Tesla and industrystandards*Work closely with other departments: Safety, Sales, Operations,Channel Partners, Engineering*Drive other projects as needed by executives or as business needs changeRequirements*Bachelor's degree required or relevant experience*Minimum 1-year experience in a leadership position*Minimum 1-year working as an installer with high reviews from manager*Comfortable working with spreadsheets, word processing, and cloud basedapplications*Extensive knowledge and expertise of Microsoft Office Suite, in particularPowerPoint required*NABCEP Certification strongly preferred*Proven management and supervisory skills*Comfortable in a fast paced field environment*Comfortable presenting on camera and for live audiences*Proficiency in installing on all types of buildings with the ability to craftsound solutions to unforeseen field conditions*Understanding of the NEC codes that relate to PV and Energy Productinstallations*Must have a desire to continue learning and staying up to speed on all Teslaprocesses*Must be very organized and be able to meet aggressive timelines*Must have a valid driver's license with a clean dri
