Our Donations Associate may be the job for you!!Please Note: This position is full time and requires open availability(including evenings and weekends). Donation hours at our Retail CentersareMonday through Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Sunday 9:00 a.m.to 7:00 p.m. Shifts can start as early as 8:45 a.m. and end as late as8:45 p.mPay: $12.32 Hr. Full Time employees are eligible for Medical, Dental,Vision, Retirement, Long Term Disability, Short Term Disability, Lifeand Accidental Death and Dismemberment, Flexible Spending Accounts andseveral voluntary supplemental benefit offerings. In addition, thesepositions are eligible for paid time off in the form of vacation, sick,holiday, floating holiday, jury duty and bereavement leave.OBJECTIVE:The Donation Services Associate is typically the first point of contact forcustomers that are dropping off items at retail centers. Donation ServicesAssociates provide excellent and friendly customer service by greetingcustomer's timely and providing assistance as needed that may includelifting or unloading donations from a customer's vehicle or other area.Associates are expected to handle goods with care showing respect for itemsdonated.QUALIFICATIONS:* Must be able to make decisions by following Goodwill standards andguidelines.* Must have basic computer skills to be able to log into a computer system toorder supplies and to send and receive email.* Must be able to work in various weather conditions with varyingtemperatures.* Must be able to use safety equipment to assist with lifting heavy objectssuch as a dolly or pallet jack.* Must be able to work a varied schedule to include weekends, evenings andholidays with occasional overtime as necessary.* Must be able to communicate effectively with customers, managers,supervisors, staff and peers.KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS:* Provide excellent Customer service, greeting customers in a timelymanner, answering product questions as needed.* Assist customers by unloading donations from vehicle or other area(s).* Ensure donated items are handled with care and sorted into appropriate binsor production areas.* Inspect all donations within assigned areas and make decisions on quality tosort appropriately for the sales floor or to be shipped to other locations.* Ensure a safe, organized and clean environment is maintained for bothcustomers and fellow employees within the donations entrance and parking lotareas.* Cross-train in other departments or areas to act as a back-up for otherareas as required.* Maintain remote donation centers shed and trailer, following appropriateopening and closing procedures when working at a remote site.* Order supplies using provide computer equipment and software programs.* Ensure supplies are kept well stocked at remote site(s) as necessary.* Track and report donation levels daily to ensure trailers do not become overstocked when working in remote donation center locations.* Work with transportation department and dispatchers to schedule trailerpick-ups and drop-offs at remote locations.Goodwill is an Equal Opportunity Employer dedicated to employing qualifiedindividuals including those with disabilities, protected veterans andmilitary spouses.Goodwill participates in E-Verify.
