BURNCO is currently hiring an Aggregate Laborer in Milliken, Colorado

Typical starting wage for this role is $19 per hour plus great benefits! Let's get you working!!!

What You Will Be Doing

  • Complete routine tasks such as shovelling gravel, dust control, yard clean up, machinery inspections, load/unload/store inventory, facility housekeeping, etc.

  • Back up equipment operators as needed

  • Operate equipment safely and efficiently

  • Perform minor equipment maintenance

  • Utilize various hand tools as needed to complete daily job requirements

  • Work with team members to complete operational priorities of the day, cross train in other job positions as needed

  • Help maintain a hazard free work environment by assisting in housekeeping and maintenance duties

  • Walk plant regularly to identify safety hazards, maintenance needs, review completed repairs, etc.

  • Complete required paperwork, identify plant improvement opportunities and escalate operational issues to Foreman

  • Keep current on safety instructions such as MSHA regulations and BURNCO safety policies

  • Other duties as assigned


What We Would Like From You

  • Broad knowledge of handling heavy machinery equipment

  • Ability to use power tools, welders, cutting torches/chains and various safety devices

  • Self motivated and able to work effectively in small teams

  • Basic mechanical aptitude and math skills

  • Ability to work 12 hour shifts and weekends

  • Experience working in aggregate industry and welding a plus

  • Experience operating heavy machinery in a plant environment preferred

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred

IMPORTANT: As this is a safety sensitive position, it is a condition of employment that candidates selected for hire must successfully pass a pre-employment background check, as well as drug and alcohol testing (Cannabis included), and physical assessment testing.
