Main Responsibilities of Job: * Work directly with company personnel to procure necessary equipment,materials, and supplies for customer projects, internal projects and otheroffice needs, this includes: * Ensure all Purchase Requests are accurate and complete beforeprocessing. * Request, receive, review and analyze competitive bids, quotes,and proposals from vendors. * Assist with market research and prepare purchase orders for approvedrequisitions. * Receive, review, validate and process packing slips/receivingdocuments against purchase orders for type, quantity, and delivery condition. * Manage open orders Reconcile problems, issues or delays in theprocurement of equipment and services. * Notify sales/customer service concerning delays. * Maintain purchase order data by ensuring procurement records arecomplete, accurate, and comply with internal/external policies and procedures. * Assist in writing and/or revising operating procedures for theprocurement process. * Attend project meetings and provide updates on the procurement status. * Follow up with suppliers after orders have been placed to ensure theorder has been received and the items will be delivered on time. * Order/track all KanBan materials (including Purchase Requestgeneration). * Make online purchases for supplies and services. * Collate, scan, and file paperwork for Accounting Dept. on receivedorders. This includes: purchase requests, POs, quotes, pack slips,and invoices * Review and resolve supplier invoice discrepancies. * Support pricing, terms, and delivery lead time negotiations withsuppliers. * Identify and manage aerospace suppliers to enhance the quality ofitems procured, eliminate problems, ensure material availability, andreduce costs. * Support qualifying potential new suppliers. * Report directly to the Procurement Manager. Additional Duties: * Receive incoming materials, transact receipts in inventorydatabase, and deliver all incoming Flight-Grade Materials. * Create Lot Cards, attach necessary documents and maintain permanentrecords. * Deliver incoming materials to Incoming Inspection. * Process: Clean, Bag & Tag, and deliver parts to Secured Stores. * Maintain and organize Secured Store locations, including separatingparts and materials according to program integrity. * Create Work Orders. * Kit parts and prepare them for assembly. * Perform duties diligently and efficiently with limited oversight. * Work closely with all departments to ensure a smooth workflow ismaintained. * Work to a task list and self-manage time. Required Skills * Ability to follow and execute standard operating procedures in anaerospace environment. * Executes work with a high attention to detail * Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and theability to work within a close knit team to strict deadlines. * Database entry experience with Excel or similar programs. * Prior experience with procurement and contracting. * Educational requirement: minimum of a high school diploma (orequivalent) * Off hours or weekend support may be required at times. * minimun 2-5 years experience * Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
