Position Overview:

Work as an integral part of a strong product architecture team with a focus on whole product definition and associated implementation. Develop and deliver comprehensive product requirements documentation for major HyperLynx product and technology updates, working with key customers and technical field leaders to translate analysis market needs into product requirement specifications. Significant customer interaction with strategic customers required to vet and validate requirements.


  • Assist in definition of design and analysis solutions optimized for ease of use and reduction of time-to-best design
  • Provide specifications and guidance to development regarding solutions for high-speed digital designs
  • Refine PCB & package power-aware SSN simulation analysis requirements, specification and solutions
  • Define further utilization of advanced solver technology within the HyperLynx analysis flow
  • Work collaboratively with marketing team in refinement of product requirements forHyperLynx Power integrity solutions
  • Specify ease-of-use improvements based on years of intensive HyperLynx usage
  • Partner with technical marketing in developing AE training material covering power aware and hybrid solver topics
  • Provide expert level technical consultation for AE field
  • Develop productive relationships with key AE staff in order to gather requirements for future releases
  • Development of compelling demo flows highlighting key differentiators of Mentors analysis solutions

Job Qualifications:


  • A desire to make HyperLynx the best-in-class with suggestions and detailed specifications but with enough pragmatism to meld current technology with new R&D work with minimal instructions, producing high quality technically accurate value based product requirements and roadmap content


  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on electromagnetics.
  • 8+ years’ experience using HyperLynx analysis products on weekly basis
  • Schematic Design, PCB Design and FPGA design preferred

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Self-Starter – highly motivated individual
  • Strong presentation skills, capability to evangelize the HyperLynx solution
  • Electrical Modeling and simulation of high-speed interconnects primarily DDR3/4
  • Detailed knowledge of IBIS modeling, board and package model extraction and via modeling
  • Experience with EDA tools (i.e. schematics, layout, simulation, signal and power Integrity)
  • Strong VBA and Python scripting skills
