Oracle Oracle Product PR - PR Manager in Longmont, Colorado

Development of communication programs to promote Oracle's products & services.

Integrate advertising into the marketing campaigns, exercising judgment and business acumen in selecting methods and techniques for best practice / creative solution. As a recognized authority and leading contributor maintain regular interface between the division and Corporate. Plan and manage pan-geography corporate and local campaign media plans. Plan, manage and implement corporate and local campaign advertising creative. Manage tier 2 local advertising and arrange sign off with Corporate. Integrate all advertising across the communications mix. Maintain and communicate brand advertising guidelines. Oversee partner advertising. Develop and manage brand communications audit. Measure advertising effectiveness.

Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. 8 years relevant work experience. A proven track record in advertising across line-of-business and/or geography as an account manager, with experience of creative production and media buying.

Oracle is seeking a PR Manager to help drive storytelling for one of the key areas of our business. This role spans a range of media (both earned and owned) activities, thought leadership and social programs to help build awareness for Oracle’s Technology portfolio – including Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, Database, Security, and Analytics. This is a high profile growth area and we are looking for a self-starter with big ideas who is hungry to deliver award-winning work.

We are looking for a communications professional with a solid professional presence, exceptional writing and critical thinking skills and the ability to “humanize” complex technology.

You should be results oriented, have a strong intellectual curiosity, be comfortable working within a matrixed organization and be able to thrive in a fast-paced, environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop subject matter expertise in Oracle technology and issues that impact our business and the competitive landscape.

  • Create and execute integrated communications programs that amplify Oracle’s technology story.

  • Proactively identify and develop content that aligns with the strategic priorities of the business.

  • Have a passion for developing and executing media relations programs—building and maintaining reporter relationships, identifying story ideas, pitching stories and securing coverage.

  • Experience building and executing integrated campaigns that include earned, owned, social and thought leadership elements.

  • Provide communications support and counsel to internal stakeholders and global colleagues.

  • Conceptualize, write and deliver long-form content such as press releases, contributed articles and op-eds, as well as social content for channels including LinkedIn and Twitter.

  • Work cross functionally with various teams at Oracle.

  • Cultivate relationships with tech reporters, independent analysts and relevant influencers.

Basic Requirements:

  • BA/BS in Communications, Journalism or Public Relations preferred

  • 7 years of communications experience, including technology/product and thought leadership programs

  • Experience working on Cloud, security, and infrastructure-related topics

  • Excellent writing, editing, and project management skills

  • Ability to thrive under pressure
