Manage the development and implementation process of a specific company product involving departmental or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new or existing products. Plan and direct schedules and monitor budget/spending. Monitor the project from initiation through delivery. Organize the interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget constraints. Assign and monitor work of systems analysis and program staff, providing technical support and direction.
Provide leadership and expertise in the development of new products/services/processes, frequently operating at the leading edge of technology. Recommends and justifies major changes to existing products/services/processes. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. Ten or more years of project management, product design or related experience needed.

The GBU Product Management and Operations team provides cross-GBU support, visibility and coordination for Development teams and GBU management across Oracle's Global Business Unit organization. The primary areas of responsibility include cross-GBU Development and Product Management support, Pricing and Product Management process management, coordination with corporate functions, product release compliance management, Cloud business set up and operations support and M&A oversight.
Provides programs to improve operational efficiency, consistency, and compliance in support of the organization s financial and tactical business objectives. Provides business practices and processes. Develops, communicates, and trains the organization on business practices and processes. Coordinates programs across multiple business units and acts as liaison to corporate teams for those programs.
The Pricing and Product Management function in the GBU Product Management and Operations organization is responsible for coordinating and managing the processes and interactions between the GBU teams and the Oracle Global Pricing, PRG and Business Practices teams. The primary focus of this position will be in the Hospitality and Food & Beverage GBU industries. Key functions of this role include, but are not limited to the following:
- Pricing Operations, including:
o Pricing Review/Approvals (Hardware, Software and Cloud)
o Provide improved visibility and more efficient resolution of pricing issues across the GBU teams
o Document and reinforce best practices for Pricing business processes and Oracle standards, including pricing strategy, discounting, licensing, and pricing tools
o Coordinate the review and approval between GBU teams and Global Pricing
o Coordinate proposals which impact or require the approval of other Oracle teams (i.e. Technology or Applications)
o In-depth experience and knowledge of Oracle s Hospitality and Food & Beverage industries, product offerings and customer base
o Familiarity with complexities of Franchisee / Franchisor business models, contracting and customer relationships
o Knowledge of PCI compliance topics and issues in the Hospitality and Food & Beverage industries
o Proven ability to provide out of the box thinking to find win-win solutions when situations appear to be at an impasse
o Established working relationships with members of the HGBU, FBGBU, Global Pricing, Global Business Practices, Product Release Group, Corporate Systems, Revenue Recognition and OAL (Oracle Applications Lab)
o Provide reporting and visibility to pricing status
o Support GBU acquisitions in areas of Pricing standards and implementation, as necessary
- Cloud Business Operations, including:
o Review and approval of Cloud Business Cases and Pricing Proposals
o Coordination with the Oracle Corporate Systems and program management teams regarding functionality to support GBU business process requirements
o Coordination with the Product Release Group (PRG) and Business Practices (HQINFO) teams regarding process, communication and best practices for GBU Cloud Services
o Document and reinforce best practices for Cloud initiation business processes and standards
o Implement margin analysis tools and metrics for GBU Cloud Service offerings
o Support GBU acquisitions in area of Cloud Services
- Serve as an escalation point and liaison for the GBU teams regarding Oracle processes, tools and other resources
This role will also coordinate the development and documentation of best practices and processes to be used by GBU teams in these areas. These activities will drive standardization and efficiencies across multiple GBU teams.
Job duties are varied and complex utilizing independent judgment. Requires project leadership and team communication. Attention to detail critical. Relationship management skills are also critical. Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with management desired. 5 plus years relevant work experience.
This position will provide support and coordination for multiple cross-GBU Product Management initiatives. These activities require coordination and communication at the executive level, as well as influence and partnership with R&D management teams.
