As an SLP you need to know how to: Carry out speech therapy evaluations, program planning andtreatments for hospital inpatients and outpatients. Work closely with the Physical Medicine Director in coordinatingspeech therapy activities with other hospital disciplines and in developing aprogram for department expansion, community and physician marketing,budget needs, and department administration. Work independently with limited contact with other SpeechLanguage Pathologists. YOUR EXPERIENCE. We hire people, not resumes. But we also expect excellence, which iswhy we require: Masters degree in speech pathology, required Current license to practice speech-language pathology in theState of Colorado, required Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC) and achieve clinicalcompetencies by the required clinical internships, required Strong Clinical Fellows with demonstrated competence may workunder supervision of a Speech Language Pathologist while completing thefellowship year Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, required bycompletion of the unit-specific orientation and before working independently At least six (6) months of experience in the acute caresetting, including experience with Modified Barium Swallow Studies, preferred YOUR NEXT MOVE.
