SalesSalariedThe Regional Sales Manager is responsible for the management of the salesfunction and development of the sales force for the Colorado Site Built plantsand future expansion. Works under general direction of a Regional VP; relieson extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals; a widedegree of creativity and latitude is required. Leads and directs the work ofothers.Must office out of UFP LafayetteServes GMOs' and works with them to maximize plant ROIStaffs, develops, and coaches sales personnel, evaluates performance andinitiates corrective action as requiredTrains and mentors sales personnel in selling techniquesResponsible for ensuring pricing meets/exceeds gross profit and gross marginexpectationsResponsible for annual sales and gross profit budgetingResponsible for Accounts Receivables (DSO and A/R % Current)Evaluates information regarding customer purchases, inventories,preferences and market trends, and revises sales strategy as appropriateTravels with sales personnel, critiques efforts and develops plans toincrease effectivenessDevelops regional sales budgets, quota and margin goals for assigned salespersonnel and marketsRevises and develops sales strategies, tactics and presentations to ensuremaximum resultsDevelops new markets and market penetration strategiesDevelops new customers and product uses.Coordinates sales efforts with production and plant staffsResolves or facilitates resolution of customer complaintsParticipates in new product development and/or new product introductionsDevelops and maintains positive relationship with customersPrepares various reports and maintains records as requiredPerforms other duties as requiredKnowledgeBachelor's Degree in administration, marketing or related discipline orequivalent experience is requiredMinimum 5 plus years of work experience and quota/margin attainment in salesto related marketsDemonstrated knowledge of lumber and engineered wood productsWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and OutlookPrefer strong analytical minded person with ability to project sales volumePreferred experience and knowledge on UFP's organization, culture, andproduct linesSkills and abilitiesAbility to travelProficiency in the use of the English language in reading, writing andspeakingAbility to successfully interact with all organizational levels and the publicDemonstrated proficiency to manage multiple tasks and activities at once, toorganize and set priorities, and to meet deadlines.Demonstrated ability to prepare plans and budgets.Demonstrated ability to train and mentor individuals in a sales environmentDemonstrate ability to effectively manage, coach and develop subordinates.Demonstrated ability to be mobile in the work environment and travel asrequired.Ability to apply business math to manufacturing processes.Ability to use a computer, and proficiency of the use of MS Office and otherbusiness softwareDemonstrated skills in leading projects and other peopleAbility to understand the conditions of the market place and present solutionsto challenging times.Ability to pass a drug testConductSelf-managing; works well under little supervisionHighly motivated and enthusiasticGood interpersonal skills and good communicatorStrong organization skills and detail orientedBe a team player and support the Company's goalsConducts in a professional mannerWorking ConditionsWorking environment is favorable.
