IBM Sr. System Engineer in GREENWOOD VILLAGE, Colorado

Your Role and Responsibilities
In this exciting role you will provide System Engineering support to implement applications using MQ, WMB, DB2 and J2EE.
You will perform as a consultant in highly specialized, leading edge information technologies and methodologies; provide highly technical and specialized guidance concerning automated solutions to complex information processing problems.
The systems engineer consultant also manages the fact-finding, analysis and development of hypothesis/conclusions, production of final reports and delivery of presentations.
Knowledge of XML, XML Schemas, XSLT, SOAP and related technologies (min 2 yrs)
You will translate system requirements into technical requirements, formulate task lists and level-of-effort (LOE) baselines, understand subsystem inter-relationships, design new systems and/or changes to existing support system to meet requirements.
Evaluate potential COTS products where necessary and provide a recommendation to the customer.
Interface with key stakeholders to solicitate feedback on current system components and obtain requirements for future enhancements.
Provide detailed documentation on all system designs, implementation steps, test plans, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Provide tier 3 support for systems in which applicant has provided subject matter expertise in.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
System engineer and system administration experience (5 years)
Experience on one or more IT platforms (4 yr)
Possess solid technical background on complex national security systems (3 yr)
Security Clearance : United States - DoD Secret
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
amiliarity with operating systems (e.g. Windows, Linux) and databases (DB2, SQL Server 2008 or later), and applications such as IBM Identity Insight, and WebSphere MQ (5 yr)
Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to work in a collaborative team environment. Experience with MS SQL and GITLAB.
