DescriptionJob SummaryThe Corporate Counsel will provide legal support and counsel to Air Methodsregional operations and sales teams. This position primarily involvestransactional duties, but may also include assisting with general corporateand litigation matters.Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following:Draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of commercial agreements,including agreements with hospitals and municipalities, real estate andequipment leases, supplier and vendor agreements, software and ITagreements, and consulting and professional services agreements.Oversee the day-to-day operations and administration of Air Methods'contracting process using the company's contracts management software.Develop and maintain standard contract templates and forms.Assist senior legal team members with drafting, reviewing, and negotiatingmore complex and strategic agreements.Assist with general litigation and compliance matters as needed.Additional Job RequirementsRegular scheduled attendanceIndicate the percentage of time spent traveling - 5%Subject to applicable laws and Air Methods' policies, regular attendanceis an essential function of the position. All employees must follow AirMethods' employment practices and policies.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesThis position has no supervisory responsibilities.QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform eachessential function satisfactorily. ExperienceJuris Doctorate (JD)2-5 years' transactional experience in a law firm or in-house position,including experience drafting and negotiating commercial contractsLicensed to practice law in at least one U.S. stateSkillsWorking knowledge of HIPAA rules and regulations preferredExperience in the healthcare or aviation industry preferredExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently in high-pressure situationsComputer Skills Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel,PowerPoint and OutlookAir Methods is an EEO/AA employer.
