Position Titles:Computer Science - Teaching Professors The Opportunity:The Department of Computer Science at Colorado School of Mines (Mines) islooking to hire multiple Teaching Professors that have a clear passion forconveying knowledge to novice software professionals. We are looking forsuperb teachers who inspire students and will advance the University'scommitment to diversity. Each successful candidate must be able to teach avariety of computer science core and elective courses, including, but notlimited to, courses such as: Introduction to Computer Science, DataStructures, and Software Engineering. Candidates should also plan to supportdepartmental recruiting efforts, coordinate multi-section courses(including supervision and training of teaching assistants), andparticipate in curriculum innovations and improvements. MinimumQualifications:Possess a Ph.D. or M.S. in Computer Science, Computer Science Education,or another closely related field.Teaching Associate/Full Professor: Demonstrated record of teachingexcellence and evidence of educational service.Teaching Full Professor: Demonstrated record of leadership and applicationof educational research. Preferred Qualifications:Proven experience leading and teaching multi-section courses.Experience teaching low-level CS courses (e.g., CS0 and CS1).
