Kāpili Sevices is looking for qualified Administrative Support Personnel ​to support the Center for Disease Control (CDC) National Center for Emerging and Zoonotic Infectious Diseases (NCEZID) in Fort Collins, CO.   • ​Assistant - In addition to secretarial duties (filing, taking phone calls, scheduling appointments, making travel arrangements), will provide administrative support to executive staff with office management responsibilities to include budgeting, personnel records and payroll. The Administrative Assistant may be required to work independently on projects requiring research and preparation of briefing charts and other presentation materials.

  • Support Specialist - Provides a broad range of administrative services in response to the specific requirements of the serviced organization. The Administrative Support Specialist also conducts studies of administrative management systems, methods, and processes to identify areas of potential improvement and provides advice and guidance to program managers in carrying out administrative responsibilities and in addressing a wide variety of administrative and management issues that affect the ability of the organization to accomplish key program objectives


  • Provide routine secretarial/clerical support for the DVBD Office of the Director (OD). Specific services may include:

  • Responds to routine telephone requests which have standard answers. Refers calls and visitors to appropriate staff.

  • Controls mail and assures timely staff response. May send form letters.

  • As instructed, maintains supervisor's calendar, makes appointments, and arranges for meeting rooms.

  • Reviews materials prepared for supervisor's approval for typographical accuracy and proper format.

  • Maintains recurring internal reports, such as: time and leave records, office equipment listings, correspondence controls, training plans, etc.

  • Prepares requests for supplies, printing, maintenance, or other services.

  • Types, takes and transcribes dictation, and establishes and maintains office files.


  • Experience with the CDC is preferred.


  • Must pass a background check to obtain a common access card (CAC)
