The candidate will be joining a high powereddesign team responsible for state of the art IP including HBM PHYs as wellasother proprietary high-speed interconnect IP.The engineer will be responsible for the front end development of RTLdesigns, the functionality and quality of their designs and ensuring thatthey work correctly in the overall system. Specific duties could include,but are not limited to architecture definition, RTL design, synthesis,constraint development; test insertion and DFT techniques; designvalidation through simulation; formal verification; along with analysis oftiming from the physical implementation. Candidate must be able to interpretsynthesis, DFT, and timing analysis reports and specify design changes toachieve timing closure. Candidate must have experience designing in 5nm andother advanced technologies. Responsibilities will be both individual and teambased with ability to work cross functionally across the organization.Job Requirements:A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, ComputerScience, or equivalent12+ years relevant industry experience preferredExpertise in all aspects of the process flow from high-level RTL design tosynthesis, constraint development and RTL/ netlist audits.Effective RTL coding styles (System Verilog)Experience with Design for Test techniquesDemonstrate the ability to work through technology challenges and physicalimplementation issues associated with high-performance design implementations.Experience with advanced node technologiesdesired(5nm/..)Additionally, the candidate should possess excellent communication andinter-personal skills to work closely with other team members and demonstratean ability to learn new tools quickly.Must have legal authorization to work in the US.The candidate should have expertise in some (or preferably all) of thefollowing areas:Experience with Formal verification, UPF support for power aware designsExperience using PrimeTime, Timing model generation (ETM/QTM/ .db)Extensive use of Perl and TCL scripting languages.Experience developing specifications in the early design phase and customerready IP datasheets and user guides for use in design deployment.Familiarity with overall chip design methodologies and toolsWe are looking for individuals committed to team success, customersatisfaction, first time right quality, and ease of use is also important.Broadcom is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
