Pharmacy
The CSU Health Network Pharmacy at Colorado State University provides prescription medication to students, faculty, and the community of Colorado State. In close conjunction with other departments of the CSU Health Network, we strive to ensure our students receive optimal healthcare in a fast, friendly, and professional environment. The Pharmacy is open between the hours of 8:00 am-5:30 pm Monday, Wednesday and Friday, and 9:00 am-5:30 pm on Tuesday, providing attractive work schedules for staff.
Position Summary
The Pharmacist – PRN interprets prescriptions and dispenses medications in accordance with state and federal regulations and laws. This position provides advice to patients and staff at the CSU Health Network regarding appropriate use and side effects of medications, both over-the counter and prescription, as a licensed pharmacist.
The Pharmacist – PRN will work sporadically as scheduled 0-19 hours, with no guaranteed hours, and is non-benefits eligible. The Pharmacist – PRN position may be scheduled cover Pharmacists who are absent or on leave, during other clinic events, and as requested by Management. This is a part-time hourly position with no guaranteed hours.
Required Job Qualifications
Education/Licensure
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a B.S. in Pharmacy or PharmD
Active Colorado Pharmacy License
Experience
Three years of full-time retail pharmacy experience as a Licensed Pharmacist

Dispenses prescription medications by interpreting oral or written prescription orders
Determines appropriateness or directions, strength and dosage
Monitors for medication interactions and allergies
Advises patients about medications including side effects
Advises prescribing providers and other staff about medication interactions and dosages
Gives advice about other medication related issues and over-the-counter products as needed

Duty/Responsibility
Performs the role of Pharmacist on Duty as directed by the pharmacy manager, which may include the following duties:
Provides timely information updates to other staff
Oversees general functioning of the pharmacy related to basic duties such as POS and cash handling, pharmacy workflow, and customer service
Provides customer service needed to address problems, complaints, or errors during course of the workday
May handle audits, inspections, and visits from regulatory agencies or accreditation boards

In lieu of pharmacy technician or clerk, this pharmacist will be expected to handle cash, card, and other transactions
Must be familiar with opening and closing registers per pharmacy operations manual, during shift

Maintains security of the pharmacy by locking or unlocking gates, securing keys to the controlled substance safe, and controlling badge locked door entry.
Arms/disarms pharmacy alarm system
Participates in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the quality of position processes and programs
Other duties as requested by Management for which the position is qualified
