HP, Inc. Project Management Office Manager in Fort Collins, Colorado

Location: All Colorado, All California or all Massachusetts.Applies advanced subject matter knowledge to manage staff activities insolving common and complex business/technical issues within establishedpolicies. Manages non-exempt/exempt individual contributors and/orsupervisors. Has accountability for results of a major program in terms ofcost, direction and people management. Provides guidance on processimprovements and recommends changes in alignment with business tactics andstrategy for area of responsibility. Plans, manages and monitorsoperational/tactical activities of Staff. Staff members 'work may involvestrategic issues. Recruits and supports development of direct staff members.Typically reports to MG2 or Director.Additional guidance/criteria:Manages and controls activities within a single country or a sub-region whichis part of a larger geographical Region.Manages at least 4 employees and typically between 8 and 15 direct reports.Span of Control guidelines may differ from these numbers.Responsibilities:Program/project management environment.Manages the implementation and utilization of HPS' Global Method ProjectManagement (GMPM) methodology.Participates in the implementation of worldwide, region, sub-regionand/or business unit policies, practices, and systems to support theprogram/projects business.Provides an environment in which the program/project business is predictableand profitable.Makes contributions to the PM Profession.Health of the program portfolio.Understands the solution portfolio and may identify repeatable businessopportunities while ensuring appropriate import/export of intellectualproperty. May make recommendations to enhance solution offering set.Chairs or participates in the Solution Opportunity Approval and Review(SOAR) meetings and ensures the SOAR process is followed. Sponsorsopportunities to the next higher SOAR level as appropriate.Drives the quality of bidding, contracting, and delivery of projects.May deliver orders, budgeted revenue and margin for the project portfolio.Monitors projects during delivery, including periodic project reviews andfollow-up on appropriate actions.Supports customer work in the selling, contracting, and delivery phases.May develop and manage strong customer relationships at intermediate levels.Consults with country, sub-region or business unit management on programs orprocesses to improve the health of the project portfolio.Professional development.Responsible for personnel, and business management, includingaccountability for team effectiveness and people development.Communicates regularly with practitioners on matters relevant to theprofession.Consults with practitioners on career development and professionalcertification matters.Mentors and/or establishes mentoring programs for the program/projectmanagement community.Leads the implementation of project management incentive and recognitionprograms.HP Inc. is EEO F/M/Protected Veteran/ Individual with Disabilities.
