Robert Half International Sr. Accountant in ESTES PARK, Colorado
Description There's currently a vacancy at a thriving Hospitality company for an experienced Senior Accountant on a full-time basis in the ESTES PARK, Colorado area. As a Senior Accountant, your duties will include financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. This position offers you great long-term potential and a strong compensation and benefits package. This Senior Accountant role is located in Estes Park, Colorado.
Responsibilities
Manage Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Produce error-free monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables such as journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP
Uphold company standards when working with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls; while also providing support on special requests when required
Provide Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Contribute to coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
Continuously analyze current automation of the accounting and reporting process and present improvement suggestions
Provide monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
Prepare financial analysis on trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc.
Partake in various department-wide initiatives Requirements - Prior experience in a public accounting environment is highly valued
Exceptional time management skills preferred
Understanding of corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment a plus
Experience in SOX control execution/documentation
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
Strong communication and social skills and able to receive criticism well
Attention to detail and ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
3-5 years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
Adeptness in cash forecasting
Command of financial reporting
Solid understanding of Construction Accounting
Lease Accounting experience
Foundational knowledge in Business Banking Relationship
Strong familiarity with Project Progress
Proficient in ERP systems
Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges
Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to exercise good judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis
