DescriptionJOB TITLE: Technology Business PartnerJob Summary: Reporting to the CTO, the Technology Business Partner(TBP) will serve as the primary bridge between the Technology andInnovation teams and the Sector, providing a clear point of contact withinIT for each Sector while helping to ensure that Sector requirements forTechnology and Innovation are known and communicated, while helping toensure that the appropriate IT service is delivered.Key ResponsibilitiesBuild strong, collaborative relationships across the Sectors and with theTechnology and Innovation teams.Understand the Sector business plans and help develop an IT strategicplan/roadmap that maps to business strategies.As needed, assist the Sector in pursuit of work, participate in clientpresentations and pursuits where technology is a key differentiator.Ensure that delivery is of the proper quality, drive innovation and ensuretechnology demand is captured.Work collaboratively with the Sector to define and prioritize technologyinitiatives (new or enhanced services) that will bring the most businessbenefit.Lead technology initiatives that help the Sector achieve or exceed businessgoals and objectives.Partner with operations leaders to define IT investments and initiatives thatsupport corporate strategies and top line growth.Through business planning process, assists in creating and finalizing SectorCapital, Licenses, Software, Field Supply and Equipment budgets.Maintains, modifies and provide approval on purchase requisitions.Partner for Technology and InnovationIdentify opportunities for using IT in new and innovative ways to bring valueto and help drive the Sector.Leverage knowledge of the Sector, knowledge of the industry, and knowledgeof leading-edge technological solutions to transform the way the Sectoroperates and provides services to its customers.Supplier ManagementThe TBP will be responsible for certain key vendor relationships. In thisrespect, the TBP will be the Software Asset Manager (SAM) for acollection of software titles that are predominately used in their representedSector and will be the point of contact for all things related to thatsoftware supplier.ExperienceThe successful candidate will be a hands-on, collaborative,technology-oriented leader and a strategic thinker, skilled in developingstrategic plans and programs and accomplishing business objectives.Understanding of Woolpert and Sector business and a comprehensiveunderstanding of the IT organization.Experience facilitating change management involving business processes andorganizational change.Demonstrated knowledge of core Sector business processes and operations.Demonstrated knowledge of strategic use of technology to optimize Sectorbusiness objectives.Understand and able to communicate complex Sector business requirements to thetechnology teams.Understand and able to communicate technology fundamentals to Sector teams.Proven experience facilitating identification of creative solutions.A demonstrable record of leading bold strategic technology initiatives anddelivering outstanding results.Proven experience conducting Sector business analysis and soliciting,understanding, and verifying Sector business requirements.SkillsAbility to develop and manage cross-functional relationships.Offers constructive suggestions and acts as a trusted advisor to the Sector.Highly motivated and self-directed; able to effectively prioritize andexecute while under pressure.Strong customer service orientation.Experience with GIS applications, Trimble, ESRI, Autodesk, and Bentleyproducts and licenses.
