Sprouts Farmers Market Grocery Clerk in Englewood, Colorado

At Sprouts Farmers Market, the Grocery Clerk is responsible for supporting several areas of the store, including grocery, dairy, frozen, and beer/wine. They stock products while maintaining a clean, organized, and sanitized department. They also help keep up display and pricing standards.

  • Provide prompt and friendly customer service.

  • Consistently demonstrate a positive attitude, organization skills, time management skills, willingness to learn new products, and help educate customers.

  • Take direction, communicate, and collaborate effectively with others.

  • Assist with inventory tasks, including unloading, stocking, facing, merchandising, and rotating product with particular attention paid to code dates.

  • Maintain awareness of weekly sales and ad items to provide product knowledge to customers.

  • Stock, rotate, and face products primarily in grocery, dairy, and frozen sections.

  • Ensure products are fresh and displays are full and ready for customers

  • Observe temperatures of coolers and cases and report any failures to management.

  • General housekeeping in the department includes sweeping, mopping up spills, picking up trash from the ground, and emptying filled trash cans.

  • Adhere to all safety, health, and compliance regulations.

  • Complete tasks efficiently to ensure products are fresh and available to customers.

  • Flexible to perform other related duties as assigned.

  • The pay range for this position is $14.77 - $18.10 per hour, with the minimum of the range based on Denver minimum wage. Sprouts Farmers Market determines pay based on applicable experience and qualifications of the applicant, with minimum wage designated for those with no relevant experience.

  • Must be at least 18 years of age

  • Must have a High school diploma or equivalent

  • 1 year of grocery retail experience

  • Knowledge and understanding of health and wellness products

  • Regular, dependable attendance is an essential function of this position. Shift schedules include 8-10 hours with scheduled breaks.

  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including some nights, weekends, and holidays preferred.

  • Able to lift 60 pounds above the ground, lifting heavier items is required occasionally.

  • Pushing and pulling racks of merchandise is common throughout a typical day. Push and pull force typically required is 80 pounds.

  • Stand on hard surfaces continuously, walk up to 3 miles, reach vertically to access upper levels, and transfer items horizontally.

  • Wear PPE consistent with the task assignment, including but not limited to non-slip, closed-toe shoes, long pants, and gloves (latex and or cut-resistant).
