Here in Colorado and the RockyMountain Region, our environmental professionals primarily support and orprovide planning and design, survey, and permitting services associatedwith the following Client sectors:* Power Utilities (generation, distribution, transmission, and substation),* Mining (exploration, operations, and closure/remediation),* Industrial (regulatory compliance)* Oil and Gas (pipeline and rail), and* Transportation (county, state, and federal).HDR's immediate assignment is for the environmental professional to performand or manage the following biological and ecological services for state andlocal power utility providers:* Section 404 aquatic resource inventories (a.k.a. wetland and other Watersof the U.S. Delineations) and associated permitting,* USFWS ESA Section 7 and/or Section 10 Consultation (BiologicalAssessment surveys and reporting), and* Federal land management agency (e.g., BLM and or U.S. Forest Service)sensitive and or rare flora and fauna biological evaluation surveys andreporti Primary ResponsibilitiesThis position will be based in Englewood or Denver, Colorado and primarilyfocused on projects in Colorado; with opportunities throughout the RockyMountain Region. The candidate should have technical expertise in thepreviously mentioned biological and ecological services, project managementexperience, and be able to support field survey work and demonstrate strongtechnical writing skills. In addition, our local engineers and environmentalprofessionals work side by side throughout the project planning stage andfinal design deliverable stage; therefore, additional responsibilitieswill include the following:* Perform scientific/environmental project assignments requiringapplication of moderately complex objectives and limited variables,* Conduct biological field surveys, data interpretation and analysis, andplan and manage written environmental reports,* Manage task assignments and or projects to profit and client success,* Leadership skills and ability to work in a team environment in the officeand or field,* Gain an understanding and perform field work to aid in the design of newoverhead and underground transmission and distribution power lines andassociated facilities,* Interact with clients, customers, and local office personnel, and* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.#LI-MB2Qualifications Required QualificationsSuccessful candidates will have the following:* 5 years of experience in the natural resource sector,* BA/BS...
