Plan a future with The North Face and help us drive the business. As the DTC Planner, you will collaborate with business partners and merchant teams to drive financial results - maximizing sales, determining appropriate inventory levels and ensuring profitability. Your role influences the sales goals of our company and will be entrusted to uphold our company’s legacy of financial stability and success.


  • Develop, execute, and communicate strategic seasonal merchandise financial plans that support the merchandising, marketing and financial objectives of one or more omni-channel departments

  • Drive financial results that maximize sales, inventory, and bottom line profitability.Manage the financial success of several departments by meeting sales, gross margin, and inventory turn goals

  • Analyze historical data and current trends to identify risks and opportunities by department and class. Collaborate with merchandising to develop and communicate a comprehensive strategy that aligns future financial and product opportunities by department

  • Manage in-season open-to-buy process to deliver financial strategies. Create key item plans for pre-season buy forecasting and in-season management

  • Recap and analyze actual sales and inventory results to plan and forecast on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis

  • Contribute to the success of the business pod – buyer, planner, allocator, site merchandiser – through weekly business discussions that drive the business.

  • Create and manage business reporting which streamlines the analysis and communication of DTC performance across the organization

  • Build strong cross-functional, collaborative partnerships with your buying, allocation, and site merchandising team members to meet our shared goals


Years of Related Professional Experience: 3+ years in Retail and an analytical career desired

Educational/Position Requirements: Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and years of experience.


  • Able to organize and prioritize workload to meet deadlines.

  • Demonstrate logical analysis and problem-solving skills.

  • Possess an ability to understand financial measurements and how to impact them.

  • Demonstrate strong listening, written and oral communication skills.

  • Able to deliver strong and thorough presentations, clearly identifying business issues and decisions.

  • Able to build and maintain productive relationships with cross-functional teams.

Salary Range:

$66,528.00 USD - $99,792.00 USD annually

Annual Incentive Eligibility :

This position is eligible to participate in VF's Annual Incentive Plan. Incentive Plan awards are contingent upon (1) achievement of your individual objectives and (2) VF achieving its' Corporate and business level financial objectives.

Long Term Incentive Eligibility :

This position is not eligible for long term incentive.
