POSITION SUMMARY

Plan a future with The North Face and help us drive the business. As the Retail Allocation Analyst, you are an integral role in Direct to Consumer (DTC) and act as the primary liaison to the Buying, Planning, Store Operations, Distribution Center, and Field teams to execute and support the vision and financial objectives of The North Face. You will be responsible for the initial set allocation and replenishment functions supporting all retail locations of The North Face. You will collaborate with the Buyer and Planner to drive financial results - maximizing sales and managing inventory at the location level, determining appropriate inventory levels and improving turn. You will consistently monitor the performance of assigned classifications to ensure inventory levels, assortments, quantities, and size availability are aligned to achieve the company’s sales and profitability objectives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and execute merchandise allocation strategies in analyzing reports and making independent decisions that support merchandise financial plans, inventory turn objectives, regional variances, and store attributes for assigned departments.

  • Review classification/style performance weekly and adjust allocation strategy to maximize sales opportunities and minimize markdown liability. Create and analyze ad-hoc reporting as needed to drive allocation/business decisions.

  • Analyze sales and inventory reporting to determine allocation approaches that address sku-level needs at the store level.

  • Execute New Store assortment/inventory builds, including partnering with Visual, Store Operations, the DCs, and Logistics.

  • Regularly visit stores to understand impact of visual guideline, product density and in store business trends.

  • Analyze assortment plans with the merchant team to ensure their vision is aligned with allocation needs.

  • End of Season Business Review:

  • Review store performance vs. allocation plan

  • Analyze performance of seasonal products to identify opportunities and risk.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Years of Related Professional Experience: 1-2 years of experience in Retail and/or an analytical career

Educational/Position Requirements: Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and years of experience.

Skills:

  • Able to organize and prioritize workload to meet deadlines.

  • Demonstrate logical analysis and problem-solving skills.

  • Possess an ability to understand financial measurements and how to impact them.

  • Demonstrate strong listening, written and oral communication skills.

  • Able to deliver strong and thorough presentations, clearly identifying business issues and decisions.

  • Able to build and maintain productive relationships with cross-functional teams.

Salary Range:

$51,840.00 USD - $77,760.00 USD annually

Annual Incentive Eligibility :

This position is eligible to participate in VF's Annual Incentive Plan. Incentive Plan awards are contingent upon (1) achievement of your individual objectives and (2) VF achieving its' Corporate and business level financial objectives.

Long Term Incentive Eligibility :

This position is not eligible for long term incentive.
