RSM is looking for a Manager to join our new Technical Accounting Consulting(TAC) team in Central Region. Experienced in serving clients with a local, national orinternational presence, and a number of diverse organizational structures,our professionals can help develop meaningful solutions for your business.Responsibilities:Manage multiple concurrent engagements within the Technical AccountingConsulting practice to provide technical accounting and financial or businessadvisory guidance to clientsDemonstrate intermediate to advanced knowledge of complex accounting conceptsProvide timely, high quality client service that meets or exceeds clientexpectations including coordinating the development and execution of theconsulting work plan and client deliverablesCollaborate directly with firm specialists/subject matter experts on complexaccounting mattersAssist in the preparation of technical memos and other client deliverablesSupervise Audit Seniors and Supervisors on engagement teamsOversee engagement economics and manage appropriate resources for efficientengagement modelsAnticipate and address client concerns and escalate issues as they arise;identify performance improvement opportunitiesUnderstand RSM's service lines and work as a team in providing an integratedservice deliveryDevelop others within the TAC practice through mentoring, training andadvising on career development or participating in other Firm initiativesUnderstand RSM's lines of businesses, availability of services and whereapplicable, discuss with client management of opportunities to make valuableintroductions to others in the firmDevelop a strategy to utilize relationships external to the firm withdifferent types of Centers of Influence to effectuate business growthSubscribe to and actively read industry publications and share relevantinformation with clients as considered applicableEnsure professional development through ongoing educationWillingness to travel 10% or less of the year, depending on your clientsRequired Qualifications:BS/BA Degree in Accounting or equivalent degreeCPA or CA Certification5+ years of current or recent experience in a public accounting environmentExcellent team and project management skillsAdvanced written and verbal communication skillsUnderstanding of audit services with knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and FASBregulationsA proven record of building profitable, sustainable client relationshipsMinimum of 4 years of team lead or in-charge experience overseeing staff onmultiple engagementsPreferred Qualifications:Previous experience in managing large and small projects related to IFRSConversions, RevenueRecognition, Reviewing Business Models, Impairment Analysis, IPOtransaction support, Fair Value Accounting, Lease Accounting, and VIE AnalysisA successful record of directing and deploying staff and senior associates onmultiple, simultaneous engagementsYou want your next step to be the right one.
