Duties/ResponsibilitiesServe as University Supervisor for teacher licensure candidates in studentteaching and/or residency assignments in K-12 Art, Culturally andLinguistically Diverse Education, Early Childhood, Elementary, Music,Physical Education, Secondary Education (English, Math, SocialStudies, Science), Special Education, and/or, World Languages.For student teaching Supervisors working with single-semester STUDENTTEACHERS, this includes:Observe, coach, and evaluate teacher candidates' performance in studentteaching/residency placements;Conduct 6-8 site visits over the 16-week placement for observation,coaching, and assessment;Facilitate 10 hours of regularly-scheduled student teaching seminars acrossthe semester, often in collaboration with faculty and/or other supervisors;Guide and evaluate students' work on the required final project (e.g.,Teacher Work Sample);Maintain close communication with the Office of Clinical Experiences andPartnerships (OCEP) throughout the semester; andAttend professional development and training sessions for UniversitySupervisorsUniversity Supervisors must be available for school visits during the schoolday and must be available for communication with OCEP and assigned studentteachers no later than August 1st (fall semester) or January 2nd (springsemester)Please Note: The responsibilities for supervising in the year-longElementary Residency program are similar to those for Student Teaching, yetfollow a different timeline.
