UCHealth Sterile Processing Technician Cert DAYS in Denver, Colorado


Receives, cleans, distributes and stores medical instruments and equipment.

Work Schedule: Full Time Days

The Cherry Creek North Ambulatory Surgery Center is a 4-OR and 2-procedure room multi-specialty unit including, but not limited to, General, ENT, GI, Plastics, Ortho, GYN, Pain, Cardiology, and Oncology procedures. It is a state of the art building in the heart of Cherry Creek that provides convenient access and exceptional customer services for patients living in the area. The Cherry Creek North Ambulatory Surgery Center’s procedural hours are Monday-Friday from 0700-1700 which means no WEEKENDS, no major HOLIDAYS, no NIGHTS, or ON-CALL requirements.

We are looking for candidates who have the experience and knowledge in caring for patients in a multi-specialty environment who are highly motivated and engaged to contribute to our perioperative vision of culture of excellence. Candidates need to be flexible to float to other sister outpatient facilities as needed.

Cleans, disinfects, decontaminates, and sterilizes medical instruments and equipment using appropriate methods, substances and equipment.

Properly disposes of bio hazardous substances, chemicals, medical waste, and unusable equipment and supplies.

Receives, stocks, packages, and distributes medical instruments , Performs and documents required quality assurance testing and inspection on stock.

Properly disposes of bio hazardous substances, chemicals, medical waste, and unusable equipment and supplies.

Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.


  • Credentials:Essential:* Certified Registered Central Services Technician* Certified Sterile Processing & Distribution Technician

  • Other information:Minimum Required Education: High School diploma or GED. Required Licensure/Certification: Certified as a CSPDT (Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician) from CBSPD or CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician) from IAHCSMM. Minimum Experience: None Required.
