Job DescriptionAt Amazon Web Services (AWS), we're hiring highly technical cloudcomputing architects to help our partners develop technical expertise andcapacity, while also collaborating with our customers and partners on keyengagements. Our consultants will deliver proof-of-concept projects, topicalworkshops, and lead implementation projects. These professional servicesengagements will focus on key customer solutions such as, webapplications, enterprise applications, HPC, batch processing and bigdata, archiving and disaster recovery, education and government. Professional Services engage in a wide variety of projects for customers andpartners, providing collective experience from across the AWS customer baseand are obsessed about strong success for the Customer. Our team collaboratesacross the entire AWS organization to bring access to product and serviceteams, to get the right solution delivered and drive feature innovationbased upon customer needs. This role is based in Denver, CO.Basic QualificationsBA/BS degree or equivalent experience; Computer Science or Math backgroundpreferred5+ or more years of IT implementation experienceCustomer facing skills to represent AWS well within the customer'senvironment and drive discussions with senior personnel regardingtrade-offs, best practices, project management and risk mitigationDemonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, andtechnical challengesDeep hands-on experience leading the design, development and deployment ofbusiness software at scale or current hands on technology infrastructure,network, compute, storage, and virtualization experienceProven experience with software development life cycle (SDLC) andagile/iterative methodologies requiredIntegration of AWS cloud services with on premise technologies fromMicrosoft, IBM, Oracle, HP, SAP etc.Experience with IT compliance and risk management requirements (eg.security, privacy, SOX, HIPAA etc.)* Ability to travel to client locations when needed.
