The typical project range is between $20M and$100M. The projects generally have durations greater than 2.5 years.The Federal Division of Granite Construction is in a unique growth positioncurrently. This specific Federal Division LP Project Manager I position isenvisioned to be a deputy to the Federal Division Project Executive(s) andresponsible for, but not limited to, bidding of new projects and start-upof newly awarded projects in conjunction with the assigned PX.* During the bidding phase of projects, support to the PX will be in theform of developing bid strategies and guiding and directing the proposal teamand estimating team to a winning bid solution and proposal. Work during thebidding phase will be in direct coordination and collaboration with theassigned PX.* Following award and throughout start-up, this LP Project Manager I will bethe primary person for ensuring the bidding strategy is carried into the fieldfor construction. This may include acting as the Project Manager on any givennew award from initiation through design, preconstruction, mobilizationand start-up all while simultaneously hiring and assuring smooth transition tothe Project Manager and project team that will carry the project through tocompletion. Work will be directly responsible for all elements of ProjectManagement working directly for the assigned PX.Based on the specific project requirements, living allowances and or livingrelocation assistance may be provided. For projects in remote locations, ordeemed critical in nature, project stay and completion bonuses may beprovided.The ideal candidate will have experience managing projects for the FederalGovernment, a general understanding of the Federal Acquisition Regulations(FAR), experience with formal and contractual partnering, experiencenavigating the bureaucracy imposed on larger Federal Projects from multiplegovernmental agencies, and have a desire and willingness to work on projectsthat may require travel, temporary duty assignment, or project relocation.Essential Job Accountabilities1. Coordinate efforts with Federal Division Project Executive and estimatingand proposal teams, and other participating regional management teams (asrequired), to manage Granite resources to meet proposal and project needs.2. Guide and direct estimating and proposal efforts to ensure accurate,complaint and comprehensive proposals with competitive cost estimates aredeveloped using consistent bid to build processes and procedures.3. Guide, direct and work with the estimating and project controls teams todevelop a comprehensive time phased project schedule that can be carried fromproposal to project start-up and form the construction baseline for projectexecution.4. Participate in bid review and bid closing to ensure accuracy of bid,proper risk and mitigation strategies, and
