Oracle Principal Technical Program Manager - Platform in Denver, Colorado

Manage the development and implementation process of a specific company product.

Manage the development and implementation process of a specific company product involving departmental or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new or existing products. Plan and direct schedules and monitor budget/spending. Monitor the project from initiation through delivery. Organize the interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget constraints. Assign and monitor work of systems analysis and program staff, providing technical support and direction.

Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. Seven years of project management, product design or related experience preferred.

As a Principal Technical Program Manager on the OCI Platform team, you will be spearheading the creation of services and features that the world’s largest customers need to successfully adopt the cloud. You will also play a key role in redefining internal processes and tools used that power Oracle’s back-office to create a more customer-friendly experience in the cloud. You will work with a diverse set of stakeholders including senior executives, architects, development teams, and external partners to take ideas, turn them into mature products, and put them in the hands of the world’s most demanding customers.

Our customers run their businesses on our cloud, and our mission is to provide them with best in class compute, storage, networking, database, security, and an ever expanding set of foundation cloud-based services. We’re looking for technical program managers to drive a variety of business-critical programs.

We need Technical Program Managers to help deliver large business initiatives.

  • Drive cross-org programs to transform our Cloud Platform.

  • Monitor progress to plan and design a recovery strategy if project deviates from baseline plan.

  • Assemble and publish effective status reports able to serve a variety of audiences from project team member to Executives.

  • Design and manage effective program-level meetings to communicate status and coordinate efforts.

  • Collaborate with peers, managers and team members across the organization to solve problems, develop plans and coordinate work.

  • Create mechanisms to help on-board others on process as well as tools.

  • Mitigate risks to quality, timelines, or customer experience. Work with cross-functional and peer teams to deliver operational excellence.

  • Partner with the program sponsor and stakeholders to define the program KPIs and roadmap.

  • Communicate effectively in person, print, and email.

About you:

  • Highly adaptable in a fast-paced hyper-growth environment; able to thrive within ambiguity.

  • You have 10 years of experience in a cross function program/project management role

  • Experience with enterprise software and cloud technologies

  • Experience facilitating cross-functional meetings

  • Thrives on working under pressure in a dynamic environment, staying flexible through organizational growth and change

  • Strong verbal/written communication skills.

This is a remote role. You can work from anywhere in the United States. Post-COVID, you can choose to work from a local Oracle Office
