Aetna Medicare Product Manager in Denver, Colorado

Support the development and execution of Aetna Individual and Group product strategy and downstream product implementation by building/maintaining Aetna's internal product management tools. Manage significant project initiatives using strong project management and technical skills along with knowledge of products and systems.

Fundamental Components:

Fundamental components of this position will be to understand the technical workings of Aetna Part D products, CMS guidance including accurately interpreting complex guidance, CMS Medicare beta testing of new changes to HPMS systems used for submitting Aetna bids. Accurately defining internal system administrative requirements, building and expanding upon user tools used in the bid and build processes. Directs, evaluates and provides requirements/specifications for use of appropriate business processes and systems to support product initiatives. Establish and manage large cross-functional development and implementation work groups. Anticipate resource needs, set priorities, establish accountabilities, define roles/responsibilities and manage relationships to secure necessary resources not under direct control of Part D Product department.


5+ years of Medicare guidance experience

2+ years of Medicare Part D experience

Must be technically savvy and know how administrative systems functions and experience with drafting business requirements and testing systems and downloads

Must possess good interpersonal skills, ability to gain consensus across project teams, while moving projects forward and meeting delivery timeframes

Must be a self-starter, able to effectively work in an autonomous manner, with strong leadership skills to guide/lead projects to completion with unnecessary delays


The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
