Unlock your potential here!This is a night position working 7 on 7 off.Here is some of what you can expect from being a Medical Technologist with us:You will provide technical quality testing for neonates, pediatrics,adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients in the laboratory setting incompliance with CAP, JCAHO, OSHA, AABB, FDA, and CLIA standardsYour thorough understanding and application of the MT practice is essentialdue to the intense field of critical patient testing. Therefore, you mustcontinuously strive to improve clinical testing through formal and informaleducationYou will maintain knowledge of all procedures and protocolsYou will perform required quality control and function verification ofequipmentQualifications you will need for this role:ASCP, NCA, HEW, or eligible. Licensure must be completed within 6 monthsof hire. Continued employment will be based on licensureA college graduate or equivalent who has passed a certification examinationfor Medical Technologist by ASCP, NCA, OR HEW. NCA AND ASCP Certificationrequires a B.A. or B.S. in Medical Technology or related field (Chemistry,Biology, etc.) and a one-year internship or appropriate experience priorto examination. HEW certification requires a combination of education andexperience (military or otherwise) prior to examinationExperience in a hospital laboratory is desired but not necessaryPresbyterian St. Luke's Medical Center, located in the Uptown neighborhoodin Denver, CO and licensed for 680 beds, PSL provides the most advancedcare for patients across the Rocky Mountains and Great Plains.
