Manager, Cloud Operations – North America
We are currently recruiting a Manager, Cloud Operations for our North American commercial accounts, located in the US.
This position is responsible for managing the US day shift cloud operations workforce building/managing the ITIL practice, procedures and workgroup for :
Application stack (Java, Docker, associated technology)
Networking & CDN (AWS, Akamai, Load Balancers)
Database stack (Oracle, MS/SQL, PostgreSQL)
Cloud infrastructures (OCI, AWS, Azure – certification is a plus)
ITIL Framework (certification is a plus)
In the role you will be expected to oversee:
Evolve apps & services into the ITIL framework
Rapidly troubleshooting incidents and service impairments, triage with engineering/development teams
Ensuring availability, recoverability, and performance in system applications
Using platform/applications management tools such as Ansible, Jenkins, and Puppet
Work with DBA teams to ensure availability & performance of databases serving various applications
Resource & asset management for the platform
To be successful in this role you will possess the following skills and experience:
An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a field such as computer science, engineering, or IS
At least 10 years of management experience in cloud operations and/or data center operations
Applicants should be expert critical thinkers and problem-solvers
Strong communication skills, as well as the ability to explain highly technical terms to those who may not have an in-depth understanding of the subject
Experience running large Java/python/ruby applications
Exposure to system management monitoring and alerting tools (Nagios, Prometheus, PCP)
Extensive experience and knowledge of Linux, in particular RHEL and OEL
Infrastructure automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Puppet, or a programming language.
Solid and modern source control practices, including Git and merge request flows
Good analytical skills for troubleshooting application, network and database problems.
Ability to listen and communicate clearly with different areas of the business
An understanding of frameworks such as ITIL
Experience with VMWare ESX, KVM, or other virtualization solutions
Experience and knowledge of the Microsoft Windows Server and Microsoft SQL Server.
Willingness to proactively engage in continuous process improvement.
Demonstrated experience successfully leading in a 24/7/365 production environment
Be a self-starter with the capability to work autonomously

Manages a team maintaining and/or implementing software project(s) and/or internal systems. Defines, documents and manages scope, expectations, implementation approach, deliverables and acceptance testing criteria.
Leads a specialized area which may have diverse functional elements. Frequently interacts with supervisors and/or functional peer group managers. May interact with senior management. Demonstrated leadership skills. Detailed knowledge of several applications within a business area needed. BA/BS degree and relevant experience.
Colorado Pay Range: From $93,815 to $178,795 per annum
