Job Overview

The Move, Add, Change Technician is a part-time role dedicated to relocation, deployment and support projects for Milestone Technologies. Projects will consist of disconnecting workstations and/or servers, relocating hardware to a new facility and reconnecting workstations and/or servers in a new environment.

Candidates should be self-starters, punctual, motivated/driven, pay attention to detail, are excited to learn and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Candidates will need to work well under pressure on large, fast-paced projects with changing priorities. We are looking for an excellent team player with a positive, flexible demeanor, and the ability to operate with a sense of urgency. This position requires standing for long periods of time as well as repetitive bending, reaching, and heavy lifting. 

Responsibilities

How You Make an Impact:

  • Track project activities to which you are assigned

  • Review and comprehend matrix diagrams of desktops and server elevations

  • Identify, Document and escalate and project related issues

  • Rack, stack, and patch server room equipment

  • Troubleshoot layer 1 network issues

  • Accurately read/write and rack elevation drawing, patching matrices and layer 1 network topologies

  • Perform inventory management and data entry with keen attention to detail

Qualifications

What You Will Need to Succeed:

  • 1-2 Years Data Center Operations experience in large scale environments

  • 1-2 Experience with Layer 1 Computer Repair and troubleshooting

  • Knowledge of a variety of current PC hardware and computer peripherals

  • Ability to lift 40 pounds regularly

  • Basic iOS/Android, Win OS Navigation skill

Additional preferred experience/certifications:

  • Helpdesk/System Administrator experience

  • Logistics/inventory management experience

  • A+ Certification

  • CCNA Certification
