We have a great opportunity for you to join AEI in a Fire Protection SeniorDesigner role in our Denver office.ResponsibilitiesHere is what we have in store for you:The Senior Designer establishes design criteria and develops system designsfrom concept plans as well as interprets information set forth in basis ofdesign as well as information gathered from users, project partners, fieldsurveys and code research. A strong understanding of NFPA codes and standardsalong with applicable building and fire codes is preferred. Your assignmentswill include performing calculations, determining system sizing andlayouts, selecting equipment, completing field surveys, and preparingshop drawings. In this role, you must be confident in designing firesuppression system with little supervision, create details and notes forconstruction documents, modify and understand specifications for firesuppression systems, and be proficient in researching and resolving buildingand fire related code and standard questions.QualificationsWhat you will need to succeed:Technical or Associate Degree in HVAC, mechanical, plumbing,electrical, or architectural design from an accredited technical institutionor college; or commensurate experience.5+ years experience in designing fire suppression systems.Proficient in the current version of AutoCAD and/or REVIT.
