The Enterprise Digital Specialist (EDS) at Cengage Learning is a highly accountable role and plays a critical part in providing exceptional collaborative pre-sale consultative technical expertise and digital product education primarily to customers at Career Education institutions and to a smaller degree, institutional deals at Higher Ed colleges and universities. The EDS also provides and directs implementation and training for all digital sales in their territory. The EDS is the voice of the customer as it pertains to our products and provides ongoing feedback to the platform and product teams for continuous improvement of our digital products. A clear and effective communicator, the EDS works collaboratively with various stakeholders, demonstrating valuable problem-solving skills, a strong technology expertise, customer orientation and exceptional presentation skills.

What You'll Do Here:

Pre-Sale Support/Product Education

  • Collaborate with sales teams in positioning and selling digital solutions by providing technical expertise and product education to customers

  • Create and deliver compelling sales presentations based on customer digital solution needs

  • Consult on implementation needs during the sales process collaborating with the Digital Solutions Coordinator on training and support plans for relevant staff

  • Ability to demonstrate any Cengage Learning digital product for any customer at any time

Customer Support Through Implementation and Training and Technical Expertise

  • Provide direct post-sale product implementation by collaborating with the Digital Solutions Coordinator, Sales Partners and Customer.

  • Develop customer’s staff by providing technical information and training for all digital sales

  • Maintain relationships with IT administrators and key contacts at all digital accounts to ensure smooth digital implementations

  • Provide post-sale training and implementation updates to internal stakeholders

  • Collaborate with regional peers to assemble Digital Implementation workshops of successful users with the goal of providing compelling user information to potential customers

  • Develop knowledge of systems, policies and procedures at top customer accounts that will affect a successful implementation; use this knowledge to “train the trainer” with the goal that internal staff will train instructors on Cengage Learning technologies

Provide Feedback to Platform and Product Teams for Continuous Improvement of Digital Products

  • Provide competitive information and trends to platform, product and marketing teams with the goal of improving customer experience

  • Ensure the transfer of knowledge of digital products to field sales by working with them and providing training

Skills You Will Need Here:

Basic (Required):

Preferred:

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage and interpret customer requirements

  • Ability to prioritize efforts strategically to increase effectiveness across a large territory

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university

  • Three years of successful educational sales experience.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

Overnight travel required. Must be able to travel by both auto and air. Travel 50%
