This position is responsible for assisting the circulation department of The Denver Post with growing and engaging our digital audience. The ideal candidate will create effective marketing campaigns to drive new subscriber acquisition and retention.

  • Direct creation of subscription marketing materials across all channels and owned platforms as well as social media to ensure consistent strong branding

  • Develop, implement, and optimize multi-channel digital and offline media campaigns across paid, owned and operated, and earned media

  • Work closely with the product and technology, and content teams to align strategy with customer experience and product value to improve conversion and retention rates

  • Leverage audience insights and data to drive strategy and business decisions

  • Develop strong A/B testing roadmap in conjunction with key stakeholders and internal partners to evolve strategy and performance

  • Understand and continuously focus on consumer, marketing, technology and ecommerce trends as it relates to digital subscriptions

  • Oversees and evaluates market research and adjusts marketing strategy to meet changing market and competitive conditions

  • Monitors other media companies’ products, sales and marketing activities to stay on top of industry best practices

  • Guides preparation of marketing activity reports and presents to management

  • Develop creative campaigns in Listrak for targeted email and on-line and social marketing campaigns

  • Work with our partner on the subscriber services website to optimize best user experience

  • Help identify segments and analyze performance of campaigns.

  • Work with editorial to understand what content drives subscriptions and utilize the data to create targeted market segments

  • Assist with lead generation programs

  • 1-2 years of digital marketing experience

  • Prior experience in digital subscriptions is desired

  • Experience in a/b testing

  • Experience with social media platforms

  • Proven experience with customer data platforms, Google Analytics and other audience analytics platforms

  • Strong partnership skills and ability to drive results within a fast-paced matrix environment

  • Great communicator with strong presentation skills
