LegalContracts Specialist - US Public SectorQualificationsBachelor's degree or higher2-4 years of professional experience in drafting, negotiating andadministering contracts preferably at a professional services firmKnowledge of government contracting including understanding of the USgovernment acquisition policies (e.g. the FAR, DFAR, and agencysupplements) and experience handling various contract types (e.g. fixedprice, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contracts)Experience with US State and local clients is a plusAbility to handle complex situations with moderate supervision from seniorcolleagues and awareness of when to engage other colleaguesExceptional organizational and interpersonal skills; accustomed to andcomfortable with a fast-paced environmentProficient with Microsoft Office Suite especially Excel and WordWho You'll Work WithYou will be based in one of our U.S. offices and work with our North AmericaPublic Sector practice (USG) to provide proactive, full lifecyclecontract management across a diverse and dynamic portfolio.USG provides management consulting services to governments at the federal,state and local levels as well as social sector entities. On a daily basis,you will work with members of USG, the legal department and other practicesand function.What You'll DoYou will work on a range of public and private sector proposal andcontract-related activities specifically the pre-proposal phase, contractnegotiation and contract execution.In this role, with guidance from senior colleagues, you will developdomain expertise over a specific portfolio and serve as the primary point ofcontact to support internal client service teams (CSTs), practiceleadership, and external clients on all aspect of contact lifecyclemanagement.You will review requests for proposal and all other governmentsolicitations, including amendments, distribute solicitation documents andcommunicate contractual requirements to the appropriate colleagues. You willsupport contract and modification negotiations with clients, and negotiatenon-disclosure agreements, teaming agreements and subcontracts with thirdpartiYou will develop and hold key relationships with government contractingofficials of existing and target clients. You will communicate with thegovernment regarding submissions (e.g., confirmation of receipt,bid/no-bid decisions), complete forms and other compliance-relateddocuments and support colleagues in preparing price volumes and proposals forthe government.You will collaborate with colleagues to proactively identify and implementcontinuous service improvements, leveraging technology and processimprovements. You will provide support to other contracts and legal colleaguesin resolving contract-related questions, issues, and problems, and innegotiating contracts and modifications.
