Compensation Director (Job ID: 3311)Job SummaryUnder minimal supervision, designs, plans, and implements Compensationprograms, policies and strategy for the organization. Ensures compliancewith current, applicable labor laws. Leads the work of Human Resourcesemployees. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for theCompensation team and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support thefunctional infrastructure.Responsibilities1.Manage daily operations, supervise/onboard staffManages and coordinates the daily activities of employee assignments;manages annual performance evaluations of direct and indirect reports.Reviews prep as needed and adherence to standard work.Creates, develops, reviews and improves Standard Work.Ensures high customer service across the team.Assists in the development of a strategy to attain future state goals assuringresponsibility for event follow-through and sustainability.Partners with other HR leaders to coordinate assignments.2.Allocation of work effort of HR activitiesDetermines work procedures and expedites workflow consistent with Leanprinciples.Assigns duties, reviews work, conducts routine meetings and monitorsperformance metrics.3.Leader Standard work/Management Reporting/Administrative DutiesAssists in coordinating and assessing the effectiveness of HR procedures andprocesses.Prepares necessary and required reports to management, including summaryreports and information necessary for ongoing management.Reviews documentation as appropriate.Assists HR managers and team leads with clarifying and updating metrics.4.CoachingProvide all levels of management with coaching on how to effectively developand deploy leadership standard work; provide staff and managers with thenecessary coaching to become effective daily problem solvers.Supports leadership and frontline staff with implementation of improvementactivities and A3 problem solving.5.Onboarding/PreceptingConducts education and training; Delegates as appropriate.6.Regulatory ComplianceMaintain full responsibility for the regulatory compliance of the organizationin all areas and facets in HR.Provide input and ongoing consultation to Chief Human Resources Officer.Review and maintain all policies, procedures, protocols and practices toensure compliance with all laws and regulations.7.Other duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesExperience Knowledge, Skills and Abilities1.Effective leader with demonstrated ability to develop and achieve resultsthrough multidisciplinary teams.2.Ability to build teams.3.Communication skills to interact effectively with Denver Health's currentservice/client base, prospective customers, and all levels of DenverHealth management.4.Ability to understand and apply financial analyses including forecasting,assist exploring strategic options and develop creative solutions to complexproblems.5.Ability to systematically gather information from a variety of sources,analyze information, identify implications, draw appropriateconclusions, generate viable alternative solutions to a question or problemand evaluate the consequences of choosing each alternative.6.Ability to train and develop team members.7.Knowledge of human resources policies and practices.8.Knowledge of employment laws and their implications.9.Ability to provide advice and guidance on the interpretation of humanresources policies as they relate to individuals and organizationalobjectives.10.Ability to listen to customer/employee concerns and actively respond.Computers and Technology1.Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite required.2.Advanced skills with HR Information Systems required.EducationBachelor's Degree RequiredMaster's Degree PreferredDegree concentration in human resources management, finance, business,psychology or sociology preferred.Experience7 years of experience in...
