Job DescriptionNorth Wind Infrastructure and Technology is currently seeking exceptional anddriven junior to senior-level Civil Geotechnical Engineers to work onchallenging and diverse geological, geotechnical and infrastructure projectswithin a strong team environment. North Wind projects range from geotechnicalexplorations to design/rehabilitation of dams and levees to vertical andhorizontal infrastructure, remediation and associated heavy civilconstruction oversight on a wide variety of federal projects across the UnitedStates.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Providing field investigation and testing, and preparation of reports forvarious projects requiring design and geotechnical engineering for variouscivil infrastructure related projects,Providing support in the development of design requirements, alternativesanalysis, seismic analyses, conclusions and recommendations, etc.Using design software to plan, design and/or bid geotechnicalinvestigations, soil and seismic analyses, foundations design, andrelated geotechnical work for civil structures,Preparation of calculations, drawings, specifications, and other designrelated documentsEvaluating plans for design, feasibility, safety and adherence togovernment regulations and other related municipal and building codesConsideration of construction costs, regulations, potential hazards, andother factors in planning and risk analysisReviewing and interpreting of geotechnical investigation reports, laboratorytesting, and analyses to aid in design or plan and support constructionprojectAssist on proposal efforts with specifications, technical approaches, andcomponent sourcing/costs.QualificationsEducation and Experience:Minimum four (4) year Bachelor's degree in engineeringAt least two (2) years of position-related experienceExperience in civil and geotechnical engineering for water resourcesfacilities, foundations and civil infrastructure projectsPE or EIT and working towards a PEMust be able and willing to travel up to 25%Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearanceSkills and Abilities:Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong verbal and writing communication skillsQualifications Preferred:Six or more years of position related experience (may be considered forsenior level positions)Training in OSHA Hazwoper, Construction Safety and First Aid/CPRNorth Wind offers a competitive pay and benefits package to include health,life, and disability insurance benefits, 401(k) with company match,generous paid leave, and tuition reimbursement for eligible employees.
