North Wind Construction Services Civil Water Engineer in Denver, Colorado
Job DescriptionNorth Wind Infrastructure and Technology is currently seeking exceptional anddriven junior to mid-level Civil Engineers for a wide variety of challengingwater infrastructure related projects within a strong team environment.Projects include design and rehabilitation of dams, levees, pipelines,stormwater systems, coastal/stream restoration, and flood protection projects.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Performing hydraulic and hydrologic analyses and modeling to simulate variouswater systems to support civil designs for water infrastructure projects,Providing support to various projects requiring design and analysis of flowcontrol structures including outlets and spillways on embankment dams,stormwater conveyance, bridge replacement, pipelines, erosion control,and various other civil-water applications,Providing support in the development of design requirements, alternativesanalyses, equipment selection/sizing, drawings, etc.,Using design software to plan, design and/or bid hydraulic systems andrelated civil structures for water projects,Preparation of calculations, drawings, specifications, and other designrelated documents,Evaluating plans for design, feasibility, safety and adherence togovernment regulations and other related municipal and building codes,Considering construction costs, regulations, potential hazards, andother factors in planning and risk analysis,Compile and submit permit applications to local, state, and federalagencies verifying that projects comply with various regulations,Assist on proposal efforts with specifications, technical approaches, andcomponent sourcing/costs.QualificationsEducation and Experience:Minimum four (4) year Bachelor's degree in civil engineeringAt least two (2) years of position-related experienceExperience in civil engineering and/or hydraulic and hydrologic analyses forwet infrastructure projectsPE or EIT and working towards a PEMust be able and willing to travel up to 25%Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearanceSkills and Abilities:Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong verbal and writing communication skillsQualifications Preferred:Six (6) or more years of position related experience (may be consideredfor senior level positions)Training in OSHA Hazwoper, Construction Safety and First Aid/CPRHEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, SWMM modeling skills AutoCADNorth Wind offers a competitive pay and benefits package to include health,life, and disability insurance benefits, 401(k) with company match,generous paid leave, and tuition reimbursement for eligible employees.
