Call Center Scheduling Agent (Job ID: 4063)Job SummaryUnder close supervision, serves customers by determining requirements,answering inquiries, resolving problems, fulfilling requests, andmaintaining records. Responsible for computerized patient scheduling,collection of comprehensive demographic and insurance information required tofacilitate timely and accurate billing of services, obtainment ofpre-certification authorization and benefit information necessary for payment.ResponsibilitiesKnowledge, Skills and AbilitiesEducation and Experience 1. High School Education or equivalent. Two years ofcollege and/or Associate's Degree preferred. 2. One to two years in ahospital/medical office setting preferred or relevant experience in acustomer service business with the ability to relate to a diverse patientpopulation. 3. Familiar with a variety of healthcare concepts, practices,and procedures. CPT and ICD-10 coding experience is preferred. Knowledge,Skills and Abilities 1. Knowledge of standardized scheduling, canceling,rescheduling, attendance procedures. 2. Knowledge of Commercial Insurancereferral and authorization process is preferred. 3. Ability to perform basicmath. 4. Excellent customer focus/service, people skills, listening,verbal and written communication, problem solving and multitasking skills.Computers and Technology 1.
