There are a variety ofsub-classifications within the Operator job family that could range inspecific duties from receiving and handling the raw materials, adding valuethrough a variety of proprietary processes, to packaging the final product.In all stages of production safety, attention to detail, a quality andsanitation focus, and efficiency are key to the success of the operation.Wage:$20.06/hr.Hours:2nd shiftRequired Education:High School Diploma or GEDRequired Qualifications and Experiences:18 years or older6+ months of manufacturing experienceBasic computer skills.Ability to read, write, comprehend, follow verbal and writteninstructions and possess basic mathematical skillsPreferred Qualifications and Experiences:1+ years of continuous prior experience in any industrySelf-Reliant and able to accurately work under limited supervisionAble to trouble shoot mechanical problemsCommunicates work order progress to supervisor and production operatorsCustomer focused and able to work in a collaborative teamAbility to be flexible in work performed and scheduleKnowledge of various pieces of high tech manufacturing processing andpackaging equipment. Examples include but not limited to baggers,palletizers and cookers.Ability to follow manufacturer's specifications and directionsAble to work in a fast-paced environmentWork in cold and/or hot temperatures throughout the dayAdhere to all standard operating procedures (SOPs)Ensures a safe working environment while performing assigned tasksEssential Physical Requirements:Working in a manufacturing or warehouse environment, you will be walking,standing and engaging in movement throughout the day, and occasionally tofrequently be required to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs. Due to a largevariety of job duties (both routine and non-routine), certain dutiesalso may involve, a variety of physical activities including bending,lifting, stooping, turning, twisting, pushing, pulling, raisingarms above shoulders and head, standing, working in enclosed areas,climbing stairs or ladders, and operating heavy machinery. The noise levelin the work environment can vary but noise is usually low to moderate.You maybe required to wear personal protective equipment such as safety glasses,safety gloves, hearing protection, a respirator or dust mask, protectivefootwear and protective clothing or uniforms. Work may be performed in coldand/or hot temperatures and the environment can be dusty. Physicalrequirements further include the ability to engage in productive andcollaborative communication with co-workers and work may need to be performedduring non-standard hours, including nights and weekends. At times, theability to work overtime also may be required. The ability to perform theserequirements is necessary to successfully perform the essential functions ofthis job.
