Job Description Job Number: R0031644Directed Energy Systems EngineerKey Role:Plan, organize, and conduct technical projects for the design anddevelopment of hardware and software for Directed Energy Weapons prototypes.Conceive and plan tasks involving the assessment of basic architecture andcurrent hardware limitations, definition, and selection of new conceptsand approaches, design, development, and implementation of engineeringapplications, analysis and investigation of major engineering tasks,definition of complex design specifications and parameters, development andapplication of major subsystems, resolutions of difficult hardware orsoftware compatibility and interface design considerations, and analysis ofsystem architecture requirements and structures. Conduct independent technicalinvestigations into systems design. Coordinate and consolidate design effortson major tasks. Prepare design specifications, analysis, andrecommendations for presentation and approval.
