Plan warehouse work operations in accordance with shipments, receiving and component orders. Supervise, schedule and assign warehouse and recycle crews to meet schedules to maintain daily volume efficiency. Supervise freight receiving and shipping. Ability to coach, train and lead work teams to achieve performance goals as it relates to receiving, stocking and delivering inventory. Monitor and maintain a safe working environment through compliance of safety programs. Supervise minor maintenance and sanitation issues. Involved in and recommend hiring, promotions, coaching, terminations, performance appraisals and labor standards. Maintain a high level of service for customers. Cultivate a positive and innovative work environment.
Responsible for preparation and execution of shipping and receiving policy and procedures.
Direct and plan all activities associated with the warehouse and recycling to include the following: staffing, schedules, training, counseling, customer service, daily housekeeping, shipping, and receiving, safety, cost/retail pricing, security and the upkeep of company vehicles and equipment.
Responsible for maintaining necessary inventory and in helping establish inventory levels based on prior usage and future demand.
Work closely with all components to insure completion of company goals and objectives.
Follow company policies and procedures and define responsibilities of subordinates. Evaluate and conduct employee performance appraisals and relay information about the operation of our company to insure the company goals and objectives are obtained.
Provide preventative maintenance on carts or trucks and complete all daily required logs.
Must be a self starter and be able to lead others and give direction.
Must have excellent communication skills with several layers of personnel throughout the organization.
Know and comply with all company policies and procedures regarding safety, security, emergencies and energy
Report to work on time and in complete uniform
Other duties as assigned
Status and Scope:
Develops relationships with Purchasing, Retail, Accounting, Retail Outlets, and Management Team
Special Skills: Forklift certification, HazMat certification, Valid AZ/UT driver license
3-5 years experience working in Warehouse
Capable of working with mid to upper management, ability to work independently with direct supervision.
High School Graduate or equivalent preferred
Read, Speak and Write the English language
Computer software knowledge
Clean driving record
Valid driver's license
21 years or older
Previous warehouse management experience
Experience and/or familiarity with warehouse receiving, shipping, and inventory
Adding Machine, Forklift, Photocopier, Typewriter, Calculator, Company Vehicle, Printer, Telephone, CRT, Computer, Pallet Jack, Recycling Equipment
Travel Requirements: 10-20%
MEDIUM - Lifting 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
Physical Requirements: BENDING CONSTANT
