Cosmic AES is seeking a dynamic and experienced Talent Acquisition Manager that can attract, identify and capture the technical talent needed for a rapidly growing and innovative Women Owned Small Business (WOSB) engineering company that specializes in building rapid prototypes using the latest in satellite signal technology. Finding talent is critical to our success! The successful candidate will quickly learn Cosmic AES?s core competencies, key skillsets, and company culture in order to effectively and efficiently find the right talent. The Talent Acquisition Manager will establish pipelines to support our current requirements as well as future growth. Additionally, the manager will be expected to collect metrics and trends to provide company leadership on the health of the recruiting process and make recommendations on process improvement. Key to our past success in recruiting has been employee referrals, so feedback with the referrer is essential to keeping this pipeline working. Further, Cosmic AES is seeking a candidate that can develop an innovative approach to finding the right technical talent in a competitive job market. Ultimately, the Talent Acquisition Manager represents Cosmic AES to the outside world so professionalism and attention to detail are critical.
Responsibilities and Duties
Develop overall recruiting strategy and supporting budget.
Serve as a point of contact for candidates throughout the interview process, respond to candidate questions, provide updates on next steps in the process, and promote Cosmic AES as an employer of choice.
Responsible for the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) including training users, user account management, configuration that may require vendor support; reports generation, and proposing ATS modification or system changes to leadership.
Maintain recruiting metric/trending dashboard for leadership that is current and available on company intranet or ATS system.
Leads continuous measurement and improvement of the Cosmic AES recruitment process through recruiting metric collection, analysis and goal setting.
Chairs weekly recruiting reviews with the Director of Ops and Hiring Managers.
Responsible for adherence to laws, regulations and standards including OFCCP and equal employment opportunity regulations.
Initiative and collaboration with Director of Operations, hiring managers, technical staff and employees making referrals to communicate effectively for an efficient recruiting process.
Properly communicate new hires to ensure a positive onboarding experience.
Bachelor?s degree in Human Resources, Business or a related field.
A passion for talent acquisition, with a minimum of 8 years of professional recruiting experience, a mix of agency and corporate experience strongly preferred.
Experience recruiting within government contracting, defense or intelligence industries preferred.
Experience with sourcing and hiring candidates with active clearances preferred.
Experience in recruiting technical staff such as Software, Signal Processing, System, and Test Engineers.
Applicant-tracking software experience, a must.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload and work on multiple projects simultaneously, able to meet tight deadlines.
Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Self-starter, motivated, detailed and results oriented; can work independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to travel for recruitment meetings, college visits, and career fairs and maintain a flexible work schedule.
Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification.
Familiarity with national talent markets and savvy recruiting ability with expertise in leveraging referrals and passive candidates.
Adjusts easily to change, learns quickly, and understands how internal and external factors impact decisions.
