ResponsibilitiesThe Space Flag is a mission planning exercise designed to preparetactical-level space operators to execute operations in a realisticcontested, degraded, and operationally limited (CDO) environmentagainst a thinking and determined adversary. This Air Force Space Command(AFSPC) sponsored exercise focuses exclusively on the space domain,rather providing space services to others. The Operations Analyst willevaluate the operational effectiveness of SF events using analytical tools,standard methods, and techniques to be applied to the development andassessment of past and future SF activities.This position requires limited CONUS travelUsing quantitative and qualitative methods, compile, synthesize,analyze, manage and disseminate Lessons Learned (LL) collected duringDMOC-S's support to AFSPC's Space Flag (SF) exercises and AT events.Conduct root cause determination and provide recommendations to theDistributed Mission Operations - Space (DMOC-S) Director if the matteridentified should be sustained, improved, or developed; or if the matteris a capability shortfall requiring corrective actionPublish SF/AT LL to appropriate repositoriesCreate and manage a DMOC-S SF/AT Lessons Learned databaseFacilitate LL sessions with SF/AT planners and participants to understandsuccesses and concerns captured during any and all phases of the SF/ATexercise life cyclesCoordinate SF/AT LL with AFSPC Lessons Learned processRepresent DMOC-S in, or provide input to, AFSPC LL activitiesWork with AFSPC teams across all functional areas to coordinate policy,tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs), operational strategy,and doctrine developmentPromote alignment across organizations to allow for clear, consistentcommunication and understanding of LL Ensure SF/AT LL are resolved usingapplicable AF Instructions and proceduresDevelop a continuous improvement process using tools and templates tostreamline the SF/AT LL processes and create efficiency throughout theSF/AT exercise life cycle Provide inputs to and, as required,participate in AFSPC's annual and quarterly Exercise Coordination Team(ECT) meAssist the AT/SF Task Lead in day-to-day activitiesManage and control exercise events as part of the Exercise Control Group (ECG)Provide support to the exercise white cell, as requiredPresent quarterly update and readiness briefings to HQ AFSPC and DMOC-SleadershipDevelop exercise point papers, exercise quad charts, and produce exerciseexecution messagesLead/facilitate meetings and planning conferences with AFSPC units (14AF, 614 AOC/JSpOC, and SWs (50SW, 21SW, 460SW)) to establishtimelines, communications requirements, and execution eventsConduct hot wash debriefs with AFSPC senior leadership to include SOPS,SWs, 614 AOC/JSpOC, 14 AF and NSDC (as required)Advocate for and integrate operational DMOC-S modeling and simulation(M&S) capabilities into SF/AT events, where appropriateAdditional duties as assignedQualificationsMust have demonstrated supervisory knowledge and skills in resourceorganization and allocation, planning and budgeting, continuous qualityand process improvement, configuration management, as well as setting andmeasurement of program goalsMust have experience leading distributed mission operations (DMO) forexercises, training and experimentationMust have experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD), Service,or CCMD level exercisesMust have experience integrating Space training objectives with CAF and/orCombatant Commander (CCMD) exercisesMust possess working knowledge of tools used for exercise planning such asJoint Training Information Management System (J
